Out-Reach Mission Project

 

Who Are We?

 

We are the Out-Reach Ministry of a Full Gospel Apostolic Church Organization, Redemption Harvest Ministries, Inc., based in Durham, North Carolina. RHM is a Tax Exempt Church Organization under the United States of America Internal Revenue Tax Code.

 

1) The Vision:

To use a holistic approach in presenting the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ, by helping to meet the basic needs of suffering and less fortunate people of our world communities.

 

2) The Mission:

To Teach the Uncompromising Message of the Cross of Jesus Christ, Preach the Unadulterated Word of God and to Reach-Out in the Love of Jesus Christ to ALL mankind.

 

3) Humanitarian Action:

Our Divine mandate as Witnesses and Ambassadors of Love and Care, of the Kingdom of Heaven, is our deciding factor to intervene in any country or crises based on the people’s needs. We work together closely with Pastors, Ministries, Social Workers and Non-governmental Organizations within these countries, to maximize our efforts and ensure positive results of our Mission programs.

 

The Blessed Principle is “when you give, you receive”.  God said “we are to look after the concerns of others.”  Reaching-out is not a legislative requirement, but rather it is an enlargement of the grace of God in our hearts. If we want to receive, we must first prime the pump to the bliss of heaven.

 

Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.  Luke 6:38.

 

Financial Independence and Accountability

Support from individuals like you is essential to our ability to operate as a Service Ministry independently. Our freedom to act and make decisions enables us to reach-out more quickly to show love and care.

 

To be successful and to maintain our Out-Reach Ministry, we must rely on the obedience and faithfulness of our members, who are Tithers, the generosity of other Christian Body of Believers, as well as the general public for nearly 90 % of our operating funds.

 

 We are accountable first to the Lord and to our contributors; and therefore, allocate 85% of our expenditures to RHM Mission Programs. Maintaining this standard is a high priority for us.

 

Mission Liberia

 

Liberia is Africa’s oldest independence nation. However, it has suffered a 15-year war that has devastated the entire country. This has resulted in the deaths of over 250,000 Liberians, and has caused another 1,000,000 to flee the country as refugees to other countries. Thousands of Liberians are displaced within their own country and find themselves living in camps that are deplorable and breeding grounds for crimes and diseases.

Teams: Ministry Project Team is made up of a joint team of Redemption Harvest Ministries (RHTOP) appointed officers and Liberian Pastors. RHTOP provides Managerial oversight and logistical support to the Liberian team.

 

Project: Love & Care

Goals:

1. Present Jesus Christ and the Hope of Life in knowing Him, as we work to help end the suffering of the Liberian people by responding to their basic needs of food, clean drinking water and sanitation.

Feeding: There is a lack of adequate food source, because people cannot afford to purchase food. We see much malnutrition among displaced war victims. Therefore, nutrition for seriously malnourished children, food for hungry Liberians, vitamins for pregnant women and supplements for breast-feeding mothers are of dire need.

Drinking Water: Liberia has NO safe drinking. The country’s safe water supply system was completely destroyed during the war. The only water for consumer use comes from streams, creeks and dug wells. All of which has water-borne bacteria. Therefore, we need drilled wells with hand pumps to help eliminate cholera, and other water-borne diseases. Also, manual water purification systems are needed, which includes chlorine tablets, to chlorinate the already opened dug wells.

 

2. To try to minimize the state of destitution within the country.

Operations Hope:

Restoring and building the almost destroyed hope of the Liberian people, through Scriptural Teachings; to assist them “discover-to-recover” God’s divine destiny for their lives; and by motivating them through educational and vocational skill building. “Self-Pride by Self-Worth” – RHM will to provide management and training to aid in the development of marketable skills as a vehicle to self-sufficiency (i.e., helping women and children get out of displaced camps to permanent homes).

 

 

3. Providing Help Speak Out

Speak-Out:

We have promised the suffering people in Liberia that we will speak out to:

Raise world awareness of the suffering of babies and young girls and boys, due to rape

Advocate ending their plight

Expose the devastation caused by malnutrition

Announce the hardships of life in displaced camps

The need to educate children
